Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Friday, April 19th, 2024 after a valiant fight with cancer at the age of 76.

Marion was loved deeply by her husband Wally and by her step-children Brad (Heather) and Chad (Kristy). Much loved May-May of Abby and Peyton and Mina of Caden and Ridley. Sister of James Hill. Predeceased by her parents Bertha and George Hill, sisters Rita Conners, Patricia Parker and brother Charlie Hill. 

She will be fondly remembered by close friends Annalee Cheslik, Jackie Fee and Beth Bardell. Marion will also be remembered by her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be missed by her friends at Mapleridge Community Centre, a place that was very special to Marion.

Marion was raised by a very special couple, Uncle Ernest and Aunt Lena Vaness. She lived her life to the fullest and loved her many friends and always helped them when they needed it. Marion loved to be awake to watch the sunrise. She said it made her feel warm and content inside. She doted over her grandchildren whom she loved very much. Marion would get excited and her eyes would light up every time she saw them. This was also true when she would visit Brad’s dogs Harley and Bailey.

A huge thank you goes out to Heather Davidson and the staff at the Palliative Care Department at P.R.H.C. for the special care they gave her. A private service will take place to honour Marion.
